Powerspec Control Center Download
I was in a similar space. I wanted to wait till no earlier than black friday, but I have a Microcenter 10 minutes a way and it was $500-600 less while spec'ed with the same model SSD (Samsung 960), Ram, HDD etc than all the other stores I looked at. On another note, I still have not seen temps higher than 83 degrees with the CPU after a few hours or more playing several different games, most of the time it only hit 77-78 degrees at most.

The GPU never goes above the low 70's while averaging in the high 60's to low 70's. I did undervolt the ECU to.125 and it has been stable since day one. For those seeing much higher temps, I would check your paste etc, because I am having a totally different experience and have not even cracked the case open yet. At this exact moment while typing this, my GPU is at 36 degrees and my CPU is at 44 degrees with a game minimized in the background and two chrome windows open. At a full idle with nothing running I see 39-42 on the CPU and 34-36 on the GPU.
Room temperature is at a constant 21 degrees Celsius. Today I also took some advice I saw with this laptop and set the overclock fan offset speed to 20% as I noticed Automatic mode did not let them get to 100% or anywhere near what the 'Maximum' setting in the control center gets to regardless of heat. It is nice at that setting as it seems to just take all of the automatic mode curves to add the 20% offset to, which seams to be working well. So far with that setting I have not seen above 78 degrees on the CPU after playing the last couple of hours and the top left area feels a bit better. Of note also the GPU has not seen above 69 degrees the last couple hours either.
Click to expand.Build quality seems fine so far, and I like the finish as it is black and not prone to fingermarks. Weight is not too bad, but that can be relative. 6 and a half lbs. Hindi keyboard pdf. So far I am satisfied and it has been playing games like a champ.
I was a little iffy as it was thinner than my previous Sager, but those doubts have been put aside. My only complaints are, the odd placement of the power cable in between the side exhaust and and HDMI, but it is by no means unmanageable, just a con because I have to manage it at all. Also, the top left surface gets a bit warm (possibly uncomfortable but certainly not hot or burning) near the CPU exhaust, but it is not a place that contains any buttons or a natural resting spot. The fan speed offset has helped. Build quality seems fine so far, and I like the finish as it is black and not prone to fingermarks. Weight is not too bad, but that can be relative.

A few questions: Do you know how to get the RPMs for the fan speeds? Hwmonitor and HWInfo doesn’t report it.
How do you get control center or BIOS updates? The Powerspec website just has older versions. Had my 1510 for a few days now. Passed the Time Spy and Time Spy Extreme stress tests with no throttling. The fingerprint slide reader takes a bit to get used to (have to slide your finger just right), and the trackpad stopped recognizing two finger scrolls every third scroll (fixed with a restart).

Getting about 3-4 hours of battery life while using Unity and coding. The cpu fan and the sound of the 7200 RPM HD while idling can be a little noisy, but it definelty not as bad as the GS43VR I returned to get this.
